Learning and Attention Disorders

Working with people with learning and attention disorders has been a substantial part of my practice.  I was clinical psychologist, and consulting clinical psychologist, at the Cove School, a day school for children with learning and attention disorders, for over 15 years, and Director of the Cove Center for Adults for 12.  I’ve presented on psychotherapy of persons with learning and attention disorders to the American Psychological Association, among others, and on evaluating learning and attention disorders to the Learning Disability Association of America, among others.   I’m junior co-author if “Hanging By A Twig:  Understanding and Counseling Adults with Learning Disorders and A.D.D.,” by Carol Wren, with psychotherapeutic commentary by Jay Einhorn, and contributed a chapter on “Neurocognitive Foundations of the ‘Chasm’ Experience” to the second edition of Myrna Orenstein’s “Smart But Stuck.”  I continue to provide diagnostic evaluation and psychotherapy for children and adults with learning and attention disorders, and consultation to families, schools and professionals.
